Believing, receiving, and following Jesus . . . what do these practically mean?  We've been taught what "conversion" is, and in what order these items are supposed to happen.  Yet the gospel account of Jesus and his disciples reveals some strange and challenging pictures: Jesus "following" the disciples, us rejecting God instead of the other way around, disciples following Jesus without believing.

In this recording, TN staff member Chris Hoke weaves stories from the gangs and the jail into a fresh and revelatory discussion on conversion, and what we think we know about it.

Throughout Scripture, God calls human beings to step into their destiny as beloved children of God, empowered to do the works of the kingdom in the world.  Yet often humans are unable to follow the call--bound by unhealthy ties to nation, parents, and even objects.  How can we become free of these unhealthy connections, so that we can hear and follow the call of God?

Bob Ekblad explores the issue of "soul ties," beginning with the call of Abraham, and ending by examining the life and ministry of Jesus.  At the end of the recording, Bob leads listeners through prayers of forgiveness and the cutting of unhealthy ties.

In the tradition of "Reading the Bible with the Damned," Bob Ekblad looks for good news in Exodus chapter 12, the troubling story of the death of Egypt's firstborn as a culmination of the plagues. Journey along with Bob in this 45-minute teaching, from the "toxic texts" series. This would make an excellent group study, as time is allowed for discussion.

Hear about Bob Ekblad's recent trip to the Philippines, a vision of hundreds of dead Japanese soldiers, and a call to identificational repentance.  This clip is from a Regent College course called "Lift Up Your Voice," which covers the personal and social prophetic (word to individual, word to society).  Let yourself be challenged by this fresh perspective on the prophetic and how it works in the kingdom to bring healing to nations and peoples.

Hungry for more of God?  How do we enter into that "Thin Place," where the veil between heaven and earth is almost transparent?  A place where we can experience the love of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit more fully?  Tierra Nueva staff member Amy Muia presents two pathways to the kingdom: adoption as sons and daughters (inheritance), and the way of radical faith (doing the works of Jesus in the world).  If you're desperate to know the love of Father God, or if your desire is to be "flung out" into the harvest (or both!), this recording offers good news.

We’re made in God’s image, created to have dominion over all the forces in creation.  Yet instead of receiving our God-given authority, many of us are living instead under the dominion of the powers and created things.  How can we take up our authority and live as God intended, doing the healing and liberating works of Jesus in the world?

In this audio teaching, Bob Ekblad guides us through Old and New Testament texts to explore the Biblical pattern of receiving authority and empowerment.  What authority did Jesus have?  How did he receive empowerment?  And how is that authority imparted to even the most humble among us?

How can we as Christians reconcile the apparent violence of Old Testament texts with the self-sacrificing, non-violent life and teachings of Jesus?  Many on both sides of the issue use Scripture to justify their stance on war, the death penalty, and violence in our culture.  This short (1 hour) but informative recording by Bob Ekblad delves into the difficult and often divisive questions surrounding non-violence perspectives and the way of the cross.  Very useful for personal study or small group discussion.
